Mike Dean is well known and respected in the Insurance world, having worked as a Claim and Risk Management consultant for many years – first with Wm Elmslie & Son in the ‘70s through INDECS, Taylor Risk Consulting and Charles Taylor Group where he served as a main board director.

Mike is keen to get back into the “hands-on” consulting that he enjoyed for many years and he brings to our team a wealth of experience in the energy and marine insurance/risk management and claim management fields. In the latter role he has worked on many major claims including a number of the industry’s largest losses such as Piper Alpha, Exxon Valdez, La Mede refinery explosion. 

EIC Risk Consulting was formed in January of 2009 to augment the services of Energy Insurance Consultants, which is a risk and claims management consultancy firm established some 15 years ago in Calgary, Canada. 

Through the combined expertise and experience of the Calgary and London offices EIC continues to grow and provide risk and claim management services to clients around the world.
